Kingston’s Journal: Unpacking

Being on the road gets old after a while.

I’ve been back in Bangkok for about a week now and just moved into my apartment a couple days ago. The apartment is basic, lacking the stove, fridge and bathtub. I’m not finding that too much as $140 a month for the late I can’t complain. Plus it’s in a nice neighborhood as well, just for Bangkok standards and well away from the touristy areas in a neighborhood called Chatuchak.

I took my first class in a Bangkok Muay Thai Gym all the way it the north side of the city called Meenayothin Gym. The training itself was pretty solid, better and less touristy than Skykick Gym in Chiang Mai. Less posh and more of an old school feel with the bugs flying around to the boot. I thankfully did not get bit, just bruised up and sore. I’m will far don where is want to be, though once I’m there I’ll probably want even more. I’m proud of fighting through a flu. How well I do now is entirely up to me.
